Tieback Engineer – Offshore Gas Development (UK & Australia)

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Tieback Engineer to support a major offshore gas field development project located in waters off the coast of Australia. The project is operated by a leading energy company on behalf of a joint venture partnership and involves the integration of a new Not Normally Manned (NNM) platform with an existing floating LNG facility.
 

Project Highlights:

• Offshore gas field in ~170m water depth
• Linked to an operational floating LNG facility
• Development includes a fixed jacket NNM platform with five dry tree wells
• Multiphase export pipeline and brownfield modifications at the LNG facility
• Fibre optic communications integrated with regional subsea infrastructure
   

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead and support offshore tieback operations for the completion phase of the wells
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure readiness for platform installation and well tieback
• Participate in equipment inspections and preparations in Australia (December–January)
• Offshore rotations expected from mid-February (two rotations of 3–4 weeks)
• Oversee removal of suspension caps, tieback of subsea wellheads, installation of upper completions, and well clean-up operations
   

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in offshore tieback operations, ideally having led previous campaigns
• Strong understanding of subsea well suspension and completion strategies
• Availability to begin supporting project reviews immediately
• Willingness to travel to Australia for pre-deployment activities and offshore rotations
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
