IntaPeople are working with a FTSE100 client based in the UK who due to a large amount of growth require an experienced Sales Force focussed Release Manager to join the team. The RM will be responsible for executing deployments for the clients whole Salesforce estate. While this role does not involve management of direct reports, it does require strong facilitation and coordination of cross-functional teams across the business.

You will be tasked with optimizing release processes and ensuring all functionality is delivered smoothly and efficiently to our stakeholders. This this person will be involved with key strategic deployments with high visibility in the business.

Experience

  • Strong understanding of how to build and support highly scalable and reliable solutions on Salesforce Platform
  • Experience implementing or working within newly implemented Salesforce Organisations
  • Previous administration and development experience with Salesforce
  • Demonstrated RM success with at least one large Salesforce Org
  • Proven experience with release management (DevOps) tools and concepts Such as Copado but this is not essential, other tools are accepted.
  • Experience using and following SDLC methodologies (Agile).
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator – desirable

The ideal candidate will be an innovator with exceptional attention to detail; someone who leverages data to challenge existing assumptions and identify solutions, driving towards continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • The position will be responsible for governance of BAU but also influx of project related development. You will also set and manage to consistent deployment routines, accounting for any dependencies and risks along the way; identify issues and perform root-cause analysis to ensure they are not repeated.
  • Refine & optimize the standardized deployment process that delivers hot-fixes, minor enhancements, and major releases
  • Automate whenever possible, optimizing efficiency and quality of delivery, including managing internal resources to implement automation tools
  • Facilitate release activities across Salesforce development teams, ensuring easy and timely deployments across environments
  • Set and manage to consistent deployment routines, accounting for any dependencies and risks along the way; identify issues and perform root-cause analysis to ensure they are not repeated
  • Define and manage change control process for development, where quality is ensured in a fast-paced, iterative environment
  • Define release readiness criteria and ensure all changes meet criteria prior to deployment
  • Work with developers to properly resolve merge conflicts, deployment errors and code coverage criteria
  • Set-up, monitor and maintain all Salesforce development environments, including creating and synchronizing sandbox metadata and appropriate data sets
  • Track release metrics to drive improvement and report successes/failures to stakeholders
  • Applies advanced Salesforce technical principles and concepts; contributes to the development of new principles and concepts

  • 6months contract (with likely extension due to workload)
  • £600.00-£650.00 depending on experience (InsideIR35)
  • Fully remote (although offices are London based for candidates who prefer this environment)
  • Monday-Friday 40hours
