Project Manager (Infrastructure & Network Focus)
Location: Cardiff (Hybrid - 1-2 days onsite per week - this can't be changed so living commuatable distance to Cardiff would be ideal)
Contract Length: 6 months (starting February 2025) with potential extension
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Rate: Inside IR35
About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager with a strong background in IT Infrastructure and Network projects to join our clients team. You'll be responsible for delivering key network upgrade projects and wil work closely with technical support teams reporting to a Programme Manager. This role covers the entire project lifecycle, from design to implementation and handover into operational support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage project governance documents (PID, RACI, Requirements).
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop project plans, define resources, and plan implementation.
- Deliver and manage projects, including:
- Weekly progress reporting
- Budget and resource management
- Risk and issue tracking
- Vendor management (where applicable)
- Monthly updates to the Project Board
- Perform project-specific tasks such as data analysis, process documentation, and communications.
- Coordinate resources from internal teams and Managed Service Providers.
- Ensure a smooth handover of projects into operational support.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven experience in managing Network and Infrastructure projects.
- Strong project management skills with experience in creating governance documents and reporting.
- Ability to manage budgets, resources, risks, and issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and focus on delivering business and commercial benefits.
- Vendor management experience.
Additional Information:
- Candidates must be able to attend the Cardiff office a minimum of one but ideally two days per week.
- This role is offered on a daily rate basis and is inside IR35.
