Java and AI Engineer

Are you a Senior Java Developer who has led AI projects? Looking for a remote role where you can integrate machine learning models into applications in a multi-cloud environment? We’re helping our South Wales based company scale up the team as they implement AI into their SaaS.

About you:

• You’re really involved with AI in a commercial setting.
• We’re looking of more ability to leverage off the shelf tech rather than building our own AI software
• You will leverage a multi cloud platform in AI
• Having led on AI projects already, you think an in ideas kind of way
• You pride yourself on your documentation skills; High Level and Technical Specifications, User Guides etc.
• We’re looking for in depth knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts, with experience in integrating AI/ML models into applications using services from a multi cloud environment.

About the role:

• Initially, the role will be Java heavy; then after the first 3 months it will move to a 70/30 split between AI/development
• Stakeholder management is an integral part of this role. You will have regular communication with developers to C-Suite.
• They currently have one project with machine learning to automate process and categorise documents with 5 more in the pipeline
• They have complex system with lots of moving parts, which will be a challenge for the first 3 months
• You will build microservice based architecture and develop RESTful API development

About the Tech:

• You will design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Java and Spring Boot
• They have an Angular front end, but we’re open to any modern JavaScript framework
• Postgres/SQL databases
• AWS/Azure/GCP
• Git for Version Control
