Senior Java Developer

Looking for a Senior Java Engineering role where you can work on greenfield projects on a mainly remote basis? Due to a promotion within the team, we are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join a Swansea based tech company.  They really have a great dynamic so you will be joining a nurturing and friendly culture.

About you

• Personality fit is fundamental for this role, you’ll take over leadership duties while the team lead is on leave, so you’ll be confident with strong communication skills. Time to time, you may need to liaise with stakeholders to gather requirements and to provide updates.
• Insurance experience would be ideal, but the L&D team can ensure you’re crossed trained to this sector in days if not.
• The front end is built in React, so any modern JavaScript framework is ideal i.e. ReactJS, Angular, Vue..
• You will have experience in back end development with Java, Spring Boot and AWS.
• As a Senior Engineer, coaching and mentoring the more junior members of the team is integral.

About the role:

• We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to build and maintain bespoke robust and scalable web applications. You will be a key technical member of the team responsible for designing solutions aligned to business requirements using the appropriate design patterns.
• This role involves delivering new bespoke solutions and BAU change, mentoring junior team members, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of strategies are aligned with business objectives.
• You will have a firm grasp of emerging technologies and become the SME for the team, imparting knowledge to others and ensuring that documentation maintained to a high standard.
