Health & Safety and Facilities Manager
£55,000 - £60,000 per annum plus benefits

I am proud to bring to market this brand-new and varied role for a Health & Safety and Facilities Manager. Working across an impressive site with excellent facilities including an onsite state of the art gym you will be responsible for continual compliance oversight of the Health & Safety Management System within the operational streams of the organisation.
You will report directly to the Compliance Director demonstrating a strong working knowledge of OHSAS45001 and other associated regulation. You will carry out and review risk assessments and be qualified to a minimum of NEBOSH General Certificate level.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure continued compliance with OHSAS45001 and the Health & Safety at Work Act and all associated regulations and approved codes of practice.
- Maintain the Legal and Compliance Register relating to Health and Safety issues and review any impacts on the existing Safe Systems of Work operated by the company.
- Maintaining and checking the Legal Register and all other registers that form part of the Safety Management system.
- Reporting to the Compliance Director of any shortfalls in OHSMS compliance requirements.
- Assist in the meeting of company Health and Safety Objectives via the implementation of the necessary policies and procedures.
- Statutory Facility checks and equipment maintenance
- Ensure (from a compliance perspective) that all Fire Detection, Fire Fighting, First Aid
equipment is provided / in place and maintained to comply with the requirements of company’s risk assessments and H&S Management system.
- Advise on health and safety training requirements, and where necessary, assist in the implantation of training programmes and delivery of inductions, toolbox talks and refresher training.
Skills, experience and qualifications:
- NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum
- Excellent communication across all levels.
- At least 5 years’ experience within a similar role.
