We are working with a well-funded scale-up and looking for a Full Stack Software Developer to join the team. The company is a medical technology focussed start up based in Oxford, who are well-backed and at the start of scaling up their operations around the world!

What you’ll be doing…
This position is fundamental to evolving the company’s UI rapidly in response to user feedback, while ensuring quality through appropriate testing and release processes. This is a great opportunity to develop new skills and potentially introduce new technologies to the solution.

It’s a great role with the opportunity to lead on design and implementation - Initially you’ll be working in the Platform Services team where you will help develop tooling to configure and monitor deployed systems.

After learning the ropes here, you will transition into the User Experience team where you will help drive the companies’ ability to scale and optimise customer experience through the use of the system GUI.

The experience in the Platform team will enable new features to be seamlessly integrated into configuration and metrics monitoring solutions - Within the UI-UX team you will implement new functionality in the existing Node.js backend and web-based frontend, which is used by customers through desktop web browsers and mobile devices.

About you…
In this role you will help to drive collaboration across the technical teams and deliver tooling to support the companies ambitious scaling plans. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and a real passion for technology as you will interface with teams across the business, from Product Management to DevOps.

You should love writing good quality code and be comfortable in a fast-moving environment where priorities may change quickly. In this role you will be solving real-world problems as well as building prototypes and iterating based on customer feedback.

Ideally you’ll be curious about new technology and trends as well as keen to dig into areas that need fixing and improving. You should have experience of the following -
* Javascript
* React & Redux
* Node.JS
* SQL (or similar relational databases)
It would be great if you also had some experience with Python, AWS, and Linux as well as an appreciation for UX!

Next steps…
While we see great value in bringing people in with specific skills, we also realise that sometimes your background may not perfectly overlap with what is listed, we look at aptitude and attitude as well as your current skills and experience. If you don't consider yourself as ticking all of the above but you think you'd be a perfect fit for us, please get in touch.
