DevOps Engineer

IntaPeople are partnered with a company who develop Quantum Technologies based in Oxford who are keen to expand their engineering team with a talented and experienced Site Reliability Engineer with strong DevOps skills. The ideal person would have a strong understanding of networking technologies, able to connect computers and embedded devices.

About the role…

• You will work closely with the development teams such as the hardware engineers and software developers to provide operational support documenting processes and system configurations.
• You will manage and respond to any systems down and resolve any potential issues before they impact users.
• You will ensure the systems are consistently operational and optimised.
• You will design, implement and manage robust networks, such as configuring switches and managing connected devices.
• You will manage Docker containers and instrument CI/CD pipelines for software deployment and any updates. You will ensure the systems are consistently operational and optimised.

About you…

• You will have strong collaborative skills, with the ability to engage and participate in a team environment.
• Strong understanding of networking technologies with the ability to connect computers and embedded devices.
• You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the engineering industry.
• Previous experience working with complex systems.

Technical skills required for the role…

• Proficiency with version control systems such as Git and version control centric workflows.
• Python, able to develop and maintain code.
• Bash scripting.
• Docker and Kubernetes.
• Linux systems.
