We are urgently seeking an experienced UI / UX Designer for a fully remote contract - 5 months initially (pretty good chance of extension)

£450 - £500 p/day Inside IR35 [paid through an umbrella company] 

We need a Visual Designer with good experience of collaborating with global Agile teams and experience with the Figma system. You will be desgining digital products that range from analytics tools to dashpoints. If you're currently looking for a new role with the following experience we'd love to hear from you. 

If you have a strong portfolio with examples of applying a system to wire frames then that would really help your chances for this role (it's not essential though!) 

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Focus:

  • Gather and evaluate customer use cases, maintaining close links with UX Researchers
  • Justify design decisions using a user-centered approach
  • Actively participate in user feedback collection and research

Creative Problem Solving:

  • Analyze briefs to ensure addressing the right problems
  • Collect feedback from users, designers, and stakeholders
  • Independently identify creative solutions and iterate/test to address problems

Product Design:

  • Master the user-centered design process
  • Collaborate with UX Researchers to understand user needs and establish design principles
  • Define product structure and layout, creating original visual design assets
  • Utilize design software (Figma) expertly and adhere to design patterns/style guides

Technical Skills:

  • Excellent understanding of tech stack and strong working relationships with tech teams
  • Expertise in design software (Figma) and front-end style coding (CSS, Angular)
  • Ability to produce designs across platforms and devices
  • Experience with backlog management and writing/editing stories
  • Good understanding of HTML and CSS, experience with data visualisations and responsive design

Key Skills Preferred:

  • Demonstrable experience in professional/B2B environments and working within agile methodologies
  • Experience with OKRs, rapid iteration of wireframes, mocks, and prototypes
  • Ability to scope design initiatives, manage, and prioritize work items
  • Experience designing products for scale and global markets, preferably in publishing platforms or news aggregators
