The role:
- The company are very much Scaled Agile and use the Spotify model; we are looking for knowledge and experience in Scrum development practices, using associated tools for testing and continuous integration & deployment
- Day to day, you will be defining tools and frameworks to develop and maintain test automation and identifying test automation opportunities
- Working closely with the development team to define strategy and best practices, you will be looking for opportunities to “Shift left” testing and test automation
- The role involves providing clear and accurate documentation for the tests and test automation as well as contributing towards the continuous improvement of testing and test automation practices
- You will be responsible for integrating automated tests with the CI/CD pipeline and sharing Best Practice; as well as owning the testing process is in all cadence ceremonies.
The tech:
- The team currently tests applications on Google Cloud Platform, although we are keen to speak to those from any major cloud platform and awareness of serverless technologies
- Experience in automated delivery of software though CI/CD with automated testing is essential as is SQL and NoSQL database technologies
- You will have an understanding of implementing best practices for secure software development
- Deployment of applications on Kubernetes is a bonus
- Although the main scripting languages are Python and Java, we are looking for Testers with experience in Test driven development in Java, Kotlin, Python or Javascript
- We are looking for engineers with at least 3 years of experience in building complex test automation framework from scratch using Java or Python
Requirements:
- Experience with automated API/component integration testing with experience with Postman or similar tooling
- Strong experience in Selenium and BDD with Cucumber or similar framework
- Experience with non-functional testing with JMeter or similar
- Experience of working in an agile environment and the role of QA in agile ceremonies
- Experience stubbing and creating automation for microservice architecture at distributed scale
- Experience with Data Analytics, Big Data or similar
- Working knowledge of JIRA, and git
- Real passion for clean code, automation testing and continuous delivery
