Shift Engineer

£46,000 - £48,000 per annum plus 5% bonus

Narberth, Pembrokeshire

Shifts – 2 days (6am – 6pm), 2 nights (6pm – 6am) followed by 4 days off.

 

I am pleased to bring to market this fantastic opportunity for an experienced Shift Maintenance Engineer. You will form part of a renowned business who produce a range of Welsh still and carbonated water along with other own label water. The company prides itself on its commitment to environmental sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the basic condition of the machines within their line and perform improvement activities, as well as repairing breakdowns.
  • Recognise faults that will transcend disciplines in equipment, without compromising safety, play a leading role in preventing repetitive faults.
  • Analyse production and engineering methods/equipment and procedures and recommend improvements in their efficiency, effectiveness and productivity.
  • Support the implementation of proactive maintenance programs/systems focused on improving Safety, on-stream reliability, increase productivity and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Ensure quality standards are upheld and monitored throughout the operation.
  • Ensure all work activities are performed in a safe manner and that appropriate HSE documentation is completed to the required legal and company standards.
  • Ensure that all workstations are maintained at a high level of cleanliness and that all staff follow the personal hygiene rules.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels of production and engineering in highlighting/resolving technical/process issues.
