Senior Project Manager – Business Transformation (Contract)

Location: Spain (Madrid hybrid - once or twice p/month onsite in Madrid) 

€500-€550 p/day - Autonomo (freelance) Contract 

We’re supporting an international organisation on a major internal transformation programme and are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead delivery within a Commercial programme.

This initiative focuses on improving efficiency and standardising processes across the commercial function (financial services). Several workstreams are already defined and the project is now moving into execution. The successful contractor will take ownership of delivery and coordinate activity across multiple stakeholders internationally.

The role sits close to senior leadership and the wider programme team, so someone comfortable working in an international environment and reporting at executive level will be important.

The Project

Rivendell is focused on improving how the commercial team operates by implementing more efficient and consistent ways of working.

Areas in scope include:

  • Credit limits management

  • Policy maintenance processes

  • New business onboarding processes

  • Standard operating procedures across the commercial function

  • Operational efficiency and process improvement initiatives

You’ll be responsible for driving these initiatives forward and ensuring delivery across multiple workstreams.

What They’re Looking For

This isn’t a technical project role. The focus is on strong project leadership and transformation delivery.

Key experience includes:

  • Senior level project management experience delivering complex transformation or strategic change programmes

  • Proven ability to drive execution across multiple workstreams

  • Experience working in international or multi-country environments

  • Comfortable managing senior stakeholders and producing C-level reporting

  • Strong governance, planning, risk and delivery management

  • Ability to coordinate teams, sponsors and project leadership across different locations

Contract Details

  • Start: Before end of March 2026

  • Initial term: Until December 2026

  • Extension: Potential for 2027
