Are you a Senior Infrastructure that specialises in Cloud Platforms looking for a role where you can work remotely? We’re helping our client in Swansea expand the technical team with an Azure focused engineer.
About the role:
- This role will have an emphasis on cloud platforms and will provide support and technical expertise assisting with the departmental objective of delivering and developing a stable and secure operational infrastructure service that meets the business requirement.
- You will support the business in BAU, Project Delivery and R&D capacities following industry best practices, while collaborating with team members and other departments and 3rd parties where required.
- You will keep abreast of emerging technologies and assist with the Infrastructure strategy while maintaining and developing relationships with Internal stakeholders, vendors and suppliers to achieve the departmental objective while contributing to the wider IT Strategy.
The experience required
- Experience with Cloud infrastructure, preferably Azure
- An Azure certification or equivalent experience within a similar role
- Experience with virtualised VMWare environment
- Experience of VMWare vSphere architecture and management
- Experience and maintaining on premise data centre hardware. Preferably HPE Blade System
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems, Including IIS, DNS, DHCP and other key Microsoft server technologies
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory (including Trust and Migration experience) with Group Policy exposure
- Experience of using enterprise SAN and fabric configuration, preferably HPE, Brocade
- Experience of enterprise backup solutions, preferably VEEAM and HPE StoreOnce
- Experience of Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft O365 with a hybrid environment and Mail filtering
- Experience of infrastructure and application performance monitoring, Exposure to AppDynamics a bonus
