IntaPeople are proud to be partnered with an award-winning, highly established, global manufacturer in South Wales. We are on the lookout to expand their committed team with a new Senior Health, Safety & Environment Advisor.

You will work closely with management ensuring the support of budgets, expense forecasts and capex project costs. Also guaranteeing objectives & targets are achieved and aligned with company strategies, whilst driving continuous improvement throughout all areas of the business.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • To ensure a safe workplace free from health risks, make sure that all health and safety policies, procedures, work systems, rules, and regulations are put into place, followed, reviewed, updated, and communicated as needed.
  • Maintain that the organisation complies with all legal requirements on health, safety, and welfare at work, including those regarding mandatory reporting and training.
  • Make certain that risk assessments are completed and reviewed on a regular basis for all work equipment and procedures.
  • Guarantee that all mishaps are recorded, looked into, and suggested fixes are carried out.
  • Make sure that timetables for safety audit inspections (5S) are followed, that fire drills and alarms are appropriately recorded, that risk assessments are completed, that lone working procedures are handled, and that staff members are informed of their obligations.
  • Communicate with outside regulators for health and safety, consultants, insurers, claims handlers, solicitors, suppliers, etc.
  • Encourage and take part in the monthly meetings of the Health & Safety Executive Committee, making sure that the tasks assigned are finished by the specified deadline. Report on a regular basis to the Board of Directors and the HS&E Committee.


Skills & Experience

  • Team Lead / Managerial experience (essential)
  • NEBOSH Certificate (essential) (Diploma is desirable) 
  • IEMA Certificate
  • CoSHH and Risk assessor trained
  • Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing facility would be advantageous
  • Internal auditor trained to ISO: 14001 & ISO: 45001 standards.
