IntaPeople are proud to be partnered with a fast growth technology client who have recently secured one of the largest investment rounds to date in Wales. Due to this growth and a re-structure within the business they now require an experienced DevOps Engineer to join the DevOps/Infrastructure team.
As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will work closely with Support and Development Teams to build and maintain the Continuous Deployment pipeline. You will be involved in expanding their cloud estate whilst providing troubleshooting skills to ensure down time and errors are dealt with quickly.
In addition to your DevOps responsibilities, you will assist in the leadership and mentorship of less experienced peers within your team.
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience within a similar/transferable role (5+years)
- Systems Administration ideally KVM, Red Hat /CentOS 7 Linux
- Knowledge of both physical and cloud infrastructures (AWS or/and Salesforce cloud)
- Experience of tools such as Ansible, Git, Jenkins, Terraform
- Experience of the use of Docker/Kubernetes/RDS for the creation of development and test environments
- Experience of configuring and managing Apache Tomcat
You will be responsible for developing automated build and deployment solutions using various technologies such as AWS, Salesforce Cloud, Ansible, Bash, Jenkins, Maven and Terraform whilst ensuring the physical infrastructure platforms are maintained and managed (using Linux). Working closely with software tester to manage automated software solutions to ensure quality is paramount for release. As a Senior Engineer you’ll also work closely with the management/leadership team to ensure all team metrics are hit whilst working to deadlines and customer requests.
Desirable Skills:
- Agile experience and understanding of Agile development processes would be advantageous (Scrum / Kanban / XP)
- Salesforce/AWS Certification desirable
- TCP/IP Network troubleshooting and support, including DNS & HTTP protocols
- Implementing highly resilient, scalable hosting environments
- Understanding of Continuous Integration/Delivery processes

- A competitive salary of £65,000 - £75,000 (depending on experience)
