This is a key position within the engineering team, the successful process engineer will be responsible for improving, troubleshooting and sustaining processes.

You should have experience with at least one of the following: Etch, photolithography or PVD.

Job responsibilities:

Take ownership of a defined process or equipment toolset
Maintenance and development of processes on assigned toolset
Process scheduling/planning and execution
Process FMEA
Budgeting and cost for process set up and sustaining
Driving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improvement through baseline equipment analysis and improvement projects working with Industrial Engineering, Process, Integration, R&D, Vendors
Develop robust processes through use of Design of Experiment, in order to achieve above target capability indices (Cp/Cpk) on processes
Monitoring CpK and ownership of process control improvement plans for a defined area.
Lean manufacturing: identify opportunities to eliminate waste within own toolset/process- operator time, process simplification, qualification optimisation etc.
Take ownership for driving actions and progress of related yield excursions on associated process. Being the focal point and managing updates on associated scrap incidents.
Supporting all activity for technology transfer within area of expertise.
Process recipe transfer / development, characterization and optimisation through design of experiment (DOE) and appropriate documentation
Report process performance and indices (scrap, Capability, stability indexes)
Process troubleshooting using 8D methodology
Manufacturing procedure for processes under employee responsibility and duties
Productivity improvement on processes under employee responsibility
To ensure COSHH assessments are initiated and updates are maintained.
Support cycle time improvement activities to meet on time customer delivery requirement.
Generate Cost reduction ideas and projects through process improvement and chemical cost reduction.


Experience/qualifications and skills:

Degree/HND educated in an engineering or scientific discipline (or similar)
Excellent knowledge of/experience with wafer fab systems and manufacturing processes
You should have experience with at least one of the following: Etch, thin films, wafer fab photolithography, PVD or Implant/RTP engineering.
Strong training skills and technical familiarity with semiconductor products and processes.
Familiarity/experience with Kaizen, JIT, SPC, Zero Defects, TQM and TPM
Experience leading continuous improvement projects
