IntaPeople are proud to be partnered with an award-winning, highly established company in South Wales - looking to now expand their committed team with a new Press Plant Operator.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Set-up and Operate the Power press lines to achieve daily production targets, whilst adhering to all Environment, Health & Safety and quality requirements
• Support productivity & quality improvements including Lean & 5S activities.
• Complete the required documentation and follow standard operating procedures & standard work to meet all HS&E, Quality & Productivity targets.
• Working with Tool makers and Engineering to minimise equipment and production losses
• Keeping daily production records & managing the process.
• Tool pre-inspection & changeovers.
• Quality Inspection and recording - 1^st Off Checks, frequency checks & escalations.
• Loading Coils / Blanks.

Skills & Experience

• 3 years Previous Power press setting / operating experience.
• Engineering / Mechanical discipline desired.
• Experience of reading tech drawings and using basic measuring devices.
• FLT Licence (or willingness to take course)
• Ability to use overhead gantry crane & lifting/slinging, power press.
• Great communication skills
• Ability to read technical drawings and complete quality checks in line with business requirements on pressed components using
• Ability to use Vernier's / micrometre's / rule.
• Basic understanding of Lean Principles, 5S.
