Looking for a full-stack PHP role that offers remote working and a focus on modern frameworks including Laravel and Vue? I’m helping a Cardiff-based tech company expand the team with Software Engineers to work on multiple workstreams.

About you:

  • As an integral part of the Software Development Team, you will play a key role in developing flawless solutions for a range of different clients.
  • You have an inquisitive nature and want to constantly develop your skills.
  • You believe the best way to really understand technical capabilities is to break things to build them back up, or you just like designing your own solutions.
  • You will have the opportunity to grow your skill set within software frameworks and other key front-end competencies, as well as the potential to broaden your outlook to server-side technologies


About the Tech:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ work experience as a PHP Developer.
  • Experience writing tests using PHPUnit.
  • Relational database experience using SQL.
  • Experience integrating with RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge of code versioning tools including Git (and Github).
  • Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector, Firebug and Xdebug.
  • Software development experience with one or more of the following frameworks is desirable: Symfony, Laravel.
  • Experience working with frontend Javascript (especially frameworks such as React/Vue/Angular) would be desirable.
  • CSS experience, (particularly with SCSS/SASS) is also desirable.
  • Knowledge of CMS-based development (e.g. WordPress or Drupal) would be of benefit but is not essential.
