IntaPeople are partnering with a nationally recognised specialised motor insurer who are looking for an Operational Resilience and Business Continuity Officer to join the team. Working alongside the IT Governance team, this individual will support colleagues in the development and maturation of the Information Security function and be based within the wider technology services department.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Financial services background, specifically in Insurance and a qualification in business continuity.
- Proficient in process mapping in MS Visio and proficient in all MS Office packages, including Excel and SharePoint.
- Experience of working within both a business continuity and operational resilience role.
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing the tasks, mailboxes and calendars for all operational resilience and business continuity activities.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and carrying out improvements in line with delivery methods.
- Building relationships with stakeholders across key departments.
Operational Resilience:
- Supporting and coordinating the work set out by the Operational Resilience Project to move to embedding within the business.
- Maintaining the ORMS (Operational Resilience Management System) across all operational reliance domains and maintaining (amongst others), the schedule of reviews, self-assessments, regulatory reports, and supporting and leading delivery of specific elements of operating model processes.
- Identifying gaps and making document improvements.
- Facilitate annual tests of substitute processes to ensure security of data is maintained, and to confirm that they remain fit for purpose.
- Tracking impact tolerance failures and reporting them to the Compliance Officer monthly.
- Supporting the COO in providing evidence for regulatory submissions and procurements in the annual review of third parties that support IBS.
- Supporting the production of management information to report into several committees and forums and develop content for e-learning module.
Business Continuity:
- Leading the management of the BCMS (Business Continuity Management System) for day-to-day operations.
- Facilitating annual review of Business Continuity plans and Business Impact Assessments with all business areas.
- Reviewing and updating BCMS framework documentation.
- Supporting the deliverance of annual training to existing senior and executive managers and facilitating annual scenario workshops with the SIMT.
- Developing content for e-learning modules and facilitating annual people and places tests of Business Continuity plans.
