Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

£40,000 - £45,000 per annum plus benefits

Swansea

I am working exclusively with a cutting-edge client who operate in the manufacturing industry, this is a rapidly expanding business who supply to 3000 customers across the UK. Due to recent changes, they currently require a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer. You will form part of a well-established Engineering team delivering electrical and mechanical support to operations covering engineering functions daily.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity that would suit someone at the start of their Engineering career. In return you will be offered ongoing development and training enabling you to grow with a business that has doubled in size over the last three years.

As Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer you will be

  • Completing all routine maintenance, in line with the agreed site plan.
  • Repairing and conducting full maintenance of the plant and its equipment, ensuring faults are identified quickly and production downtime is minimized.
  • Carrying out accurate record keeping of all work undertaken for compliance and audit purposes
  • Ensuring all duties are undertaken in line with current health & safety legislation.
  • Managing stocks of critical engineering spares and equipment
  • Provide support to other business functions.

Skills, experience, and qualifications required.

  • Experienced multi-skilled engineer with good electrical and mechanical knowledge across the entire production facility.
  • Experience with reactive maintenance.
  • Conversant with Three Phase equipment, inverters sensors and control panel fault finding.
  • Conversant with PLC control systems.
  • Have experience of pneumatics, pumps, and valves.
  • Flexible approach to working hours.
  • Engineering Analytical skills and Fault finding.
  • Demonstrable ability to absorb complex systems knowledge.
  • knowledge of Engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Appreciation of planned preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Ability to safely work at heights from MEWPS and fixed platforms.
  • Able to accurately interpret manuals and drawings to deliver working capability (mechanics, electrics, pneumatics, hydraulics)
  • Relevant engineering qualification or HNC multiskilled mechanical and electrical.
