Job Title: Microsoft Engineer
Location: South Wales

You can work largely remotely but will need to travel to South Wales fairly regularly so the ideal would be to find someone who is based in South Wales. 

Job Description:

Are you a Microsoft expert with a knack for managing Active Directory, Azure, and Microsoft 365 environments? We are looking for a skilled professional to oversee technical management and support, spearhead migration projects, and ensure the seamless operation of our clients Microsoft ecosystem.

We're seeking a confident Engineer who has who has strong Cloud 365, Azure and Active Directory skills, not just in a support sense but more focus on migrations from on-prem to cloud and architectural type skills. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Active Directory Management:

    • Design, implement, and manage AD infrastructure.
    • Troubleshoot replication, Group Policy, and security configurations.
    • Monitor Domain Controllers and optimize AD environments.
  • Azure Administration:

    • Deploy, configure, and manage Azure resources.
    • Implement and synchronize Azure Active Directory (AAD) with on-premises AD.
    • Ensure security and manage access controls.
  • Microsoft 365 Management:

    • Administer and support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
    • Manage user accounts, licensing, and configurations.
    • Implement security policies using tools like InTune.
  • Migration Projects:

    • Plan and execute on-premises to cloud migrations.
    • Perform data, user, and application migrations.
    • Develop migration strategies and risk assessments.
  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

    • Provide advanced technical support and resolve issues.
    • Monitor system performance and apply necessary fixes.
    • Collaborate with IT teams for seamless integration.
  • Documentation and Training:

    • Create and maintain detailed documentation.
    • Provide training and knowledge transfer to IT staff and end-users.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
    • 5+ years of experience with Active Directory, Azure, and Microsoft 365.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Expertise in Active Directory and Azure administration.
    • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 services.
    • Experience with migration tools and methodologies.
  • Certifications:

    • Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert) are highly desirable.
  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Highly Desired:

    • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
    • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
    • Knowledge of networking principles and hybrid environments.
