IntaPeople are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our clients dynamic team. Your role will involve contributing to the development and delivery of existing products, envisioning new mechanical designs for future products, and supporting wider teams in mechanical design and manufacture. With a global client base our client develops quantum computers.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute mechanical designs for both new and existing products.
- Test and troubleshoot prototypes and finalized products.
- Develop and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including technical drawings, manufacturing instructions, and associated processes.
- Collaborate with current suppliers and explore new supplier opportunities.
Requirements:
- Experience in mechanical CAD, preferably Autodesk Inventor or similar software.
- Experience in machined, sheet metal, and 3D printed design and manufacturing.
- Understanding of design for manufacturing and assembly.
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Background in preparing detailed engineering documentation.
- Degree in mechanical engineering or similar technical discipline.
- 3+ years' experience in a technical environment (electronics and/or optics preferred).
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint is desirable.
- Familiarity with temperature control systems (desirable)
