Master Scheduler
A key leadership opportunity has opened for a seasoned professional to take charge of planning and scheduling across multiple production sites. This role is focused on developing long-term scheduling strategies that support efficient production, meet service targets, and align resources with business priorities. It will play a pivotal role in improving planning consistency, strengthening forecasting capabilities, and ensuring operational readiness across all sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the standardisation and implementation of advanced planning and scheduling tools across all production facilities, promoting consistent usage and driving performance improvement.
Oversee production capacity planning to ensure alignment with customer expectations and internal targets, adjusting to demand changes and operational shifts.
Manage complex order scheduling and large-scale project planning to support production capability, logistics timelines, and commercial requirements.
Support operational teams by delivering timely and accurate planning data, ensuring production targets are realistic and achievable.
Develop and embed a robust planning process that provides visibility into future capacity, raw material requirements, and staffing needs.
Continuously refine and improve production flows to drive down costs and shorten delivery times, without compromising quality or reliability.
Define and track performance against service-level expectations across key regions or business units.
Communicate planning performance, risks, and improvement opportunities to the executive team, using data-driven insights to guide decisions.
Experience and Skills Required:
Significant experience in advanced planning and scheduling within a manufacturing environment, particularly across multiple production locations.
Deep understanding of ERP and MRP systems and their integration into operational planning functions.
Strong background in supply chain management, logistics, and capacity planning.
Excellent command of planning tools and high-level Excel capability.
Clear and confident communicator, comfortable influencing across departments and seniority levels.
Skilled in coaching and leading teams, with the ability to manage performance, resolve conflicts, and build engagement.
Ability to translate operational data into actionable insight and strategic recommendations.
Preferred:
A degree in supply chain, operations, or business management.
Formal training or qualifications in continuous improvement or lean manufacturing principles.
