Senior Business Process Consultant (Freelance)
Amsterdam | Hybrid (1 day per week onsite) | 6-Month Contract | 32-40 Hours Per Week
€700-800 p/day
Our global client is seeking an experienced Senior Business Process Consultant to support a key process improvement initiative focused on Lead Management and commercial operations.
This assignment is suited to someone who has a proven track record of analysing, standardising and redesigning business processes across complex organisations. We are looking for a consultant who can quickly understand how processes operate today, identify inefficiencies, and design practical future-state solutions that deliver measurable business value.
The successful consultant will work independently with stakeholders across multiple business units and markets to assess current ways of working and create a standardised approach to Lead Management aligned with the wider commercial operating model.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct detailed AS-IS process discovery and mapping activities across multiple teams and regions
• Analyse existing Lead Management processes to identify bottlenecks, process variations, inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
• Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to understand current practices and build alignment around future-state processes
• Design and document TO-BE processes using BPMN 2.0
• Develop process improvement recommendations supported by clear business rationale and measurable benefits
• Define KPIs and performance measures to monitor process effectiveness
• Create implementation roadmaps and adoption plans to support successful delivery
• Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to internal process teams
Required Experience
• Extensive experience as a Business Process Consultant, Process Excellence Consultant, Process Improvement Consultant or similar
• Proven track record of leading end-to-end process discovery, analysis and redesign initiatives
• Strong BPMN 2.0 process modelling capability
• Experience creating AS-IS and TO-BE process models within complex organisations
• Ability to identify root causes and translate findings into practical improvement recommendations
• Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
• Experience operating independently within international environments
Highly Desirable
• Experience improving commercial, sales operations, customer journey or Lead Management processes
• Experience working with CRM-related processes, including Salesforce environments
• Lean Six Sigma certification
• Financial services, insurance or regulated industry experience
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a consultant who can demonstrate specific examples of process redesign and optimisation, including how they identified issues, designed improvements, managed stakeholder engagement and delivered measurable outcomes.
This is a hands-on assignment requiring strong process expertise, rather than a purely programme management, business analysis or systems-focused background.
