Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out laboratory assays and analytical tests according to standard operating procedures.
- Ensure the quality of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Maintain accurate records of all laboratory activities and results in the QC database.
- Oversee the calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with quality management systems.
- Coordinate external testing, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of samples.
- Generate and review Certificates of Analysis.
- Investigate and report any out-of-specification results.
- Conduct regular laboratory audits and manage retained samples.
- Review and verify formulations produced by the manufacturing team.
- Adhere to health & safety and good laboratory practice at all times.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements and uphold quality and environmental standards.
Skills and experience:
- A-levels or equivalent in a science subject (ideally chemistry or biology).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a QC laboratory environment.
- Familiarity with laboratory assays and analytical methods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work on time.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
