IT Technician – First Line Support

Our South Wales based client is looking for an IT Technician to join a tightknit team. This role focuses on first line support, with the expectation of moving up to second line support. A successful IT Technician will be confident on the phone, with excellent communication skills. They will also be knowledgeable and open to learn, in order to provide the best technical support for the company. The role operates with a hybrid working model, with up to 2 days per week working from home. Travel is also necessary in this role, whereby other offices will have to be visited 2/3 times per month.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Providing first line support, both in person and on the phone
  • Increasing skills and knowledge to begin providing second line support
  • Call ticket logging, using the helpdesk IT system
  • Maintaining knowledge of the IT systems used by the company

Experience/tech required:

  • Proven ability to provide first line support
  • Microsoft Windows 10
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Desktop Hardware
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2016
  • Microsoft Cloud Based Solutions
  • Microsoft SCCM
  • Microsoft Teams
