IntaPeople are seeking a first/second line IT Support Technician. 

You will provide support for all IT systems as well as pick up job tickets from the national helpdesk.  Provide cover for annual leave and absence within the pool of IT Technicians across the group.  Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues as well as housekeeping on Active Directory.  Please note, there will be a requirement to cover occasional out of hours support.

This position will require the post holder to be vetted to NPP Level 3 clearance.

Candidate’s who are MCSE qualified, and who can demonstrate experience of VM Ware, as well as the above, will be highly favoured. 

As the successful IT Technician, you will be involved in the following responsibilities:

  • Understand the requirements of the business and assist the IT manager in the translation of these into lean system processes
  • Use the companywide help desk solution to log tickets, triage issues and manage the resolution of issues to their conclusion sometimes with the involvement of third-party providers -infrastructure, hardware, network etc.
  • Work on the resolution of any day to day issues with systems/software and networking
  • Regular data management duties will include the monitoring of the system backups
  • Patching of software on both client machines as well as servers, updating software versions in line with manufacturer guidance
  • Assist with the systems design and testing of routine process improvements as well as major software upgrades
  • Work closely with the IT and operational teams to support planning and implementation of system changes and smooth transition to developed data services
  • Ensure that GDPR is embedded throughout the business and customer data is secure
  • Installing and configuring computer systems as well as replacing parts as required
  • Troubleshoot system, application and network problems, diagnosing and solving issues, either over the phone or in-person and be able to talk staff or customers through a series of actions, to help set up systems or resolve issues
  • Provide administration support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
