My Madrid based client are looking for an IT Asset Owner with a focus on application management. This would be on a full-time freelance contract for an initial 12 month period with extensions likely.
Start Date: March
Rate: around €600 per day
Hybrid: 60% remote, 40% onsite
Langauges: Fluent English and Spanish
Core of the role:
- Own applications end to end. From day-to-day running through to upgrades and eventual retirement.
- Make sure each application meets internal application management, security and service policies.
- Run formal self-assessments on those applications. Document gaps. No hand-waving.
- Build and drive corrective action plans to close gaps flagged by policy, audit or regulation.
- Ensure applications meet digital resilience expectations under DORA.
- Act as the bridge between delivery teams, security, service management and the business.
- Support pilots and rollouts of the application management framework and make sure it actually lands, not just looks good on paper.
- Keep senior stakeholders informed on progress, risks and resourcing.
