Product Safety & Compliance Officer
An innovative, international manufacturing company in South Wales currently require a Product Safety & Compliance Officer to manage all compliance for one of their product ranges.
This is a global role with a high level of responsibility to unsure all existing and new products meet global regulatory and safety standards. Working in close collaboration with local authorities, test houses, and industry groups to gain and maintain approvals.
You will maintain all compliance documentation and educate management, colleagues and customers on complex global compliance requirements. This position also serves as an advisor to senior management in areas of global product compliance, safety, regulatory issues, industry standards and agency approvals.
The role would suit someone form a white goods/consumer product background. On offer is a highly competitive salary within a growing company who are genuine industry leaders.
Experience/Skills:
- Ideally degree educated in a relevant discipline (i.e. engineering or scientific degree)
- 10+ years’ experience in product compliance and product safety
- A white goods/consumer product background would be highly advantageous
- Experience liaising with test houses regarding fire resistance, robustness/barrier, acoustic attenuation etc.
- Experience advising senior management teams on regulatory compliance
