IntaPeople are proud to be partnered with an exciting organisation who are working are making huge steps within their sector. Due to continued growth and investment, we now require an experienced Engineering Manager to join their remote-focussed technical function within the UK.

We are looking for a self-directed, experienced leader to help us continuously develop and extend their existing products and tooling.  You will be working very closely with other Senior/Lead Software Engineers, Product Teams, Technical Architects and reporting directly to VP Engineering to design and implement substantial changes across the platform whilst championing one of many Software Engineering teams.

You’ll be responsible for (but not limited to);

  • Ensuring that the engineering team is consistently delivering within the organisation
  • Supporting team members performance whilst holding regular 1;1’s
  • Proactively bridge the gap between stakeholders and the development/product team
  • Work alongside other Engineering Leads, Principal Engineers and Product Manager
  • Manage the software development live cycle from a planning, prioritization to release management
  • Champion a great environment to work within through positive mentorship

As an Engineering Manager you will play a pivotal role in driving the success and efforts of your development team whilst ensuring the products meet the highest standards of quality.

Your experience will look similar to the below (but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box);

  • Strong demonstrated experience leading high preforming engineering teams of between 5-15 peers
  • A strong technology/software focussed background
  • Advanced software development knowledge in major technologies such as Java, Python, Salesforce, PHP or similar
  • Experience managing teams that are heavily reliant on cloud technologies ideally using GCP or AWS/Azure
  • Strong communication skills which can be shown within a technical & non technical environment
  • A strong track record working with a rapidly growing business within a fast-paced environment
