IntaPeople are currently supporting a large Manufacturing site in Wales for the recruitment of an experienced Engineering/Maintenance Manager. We’re looking to speak with candidates who have strong experience in GMP or similar production environments such as Aerospace, automotive or food.
You will be responsible for ensuring engineering and maintenance activities are optimised to ensure maximum efficiency whilst leading a highly skilled and established engineering/maintenance team on site.
You will be responsible for:
- Ensure that the Engineering Department has the equipment and people skill base in place to support manufacturing plans, installation and commissioning of new facilities, plant, equipment, and critical systems as appropriate.
- Ensure that the departments' service level is maintained to a high standard and key performance indicators in relation to maintenance of quality assurance control within the team are met.
- Ensure that the Engineering team is provided with the appropriate level of training to be able to deliver their activities to the highest standard and in-line with Regulatory and cGMP requirements.
- Ensure that the team is kept up to date with the Industry best practice
- To work with Quality Assurance and the Production Department to provide engineering expertise to solve manufacturing and facility equipment problems, to identify root causes for failures and to develop robust corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
- To ensure that all documentation generated by the Engineering team is correctly controlled and fully compliant. For example, correct application of change control and quality events, robust root cause analysis with appropriate corrective and preventive actions, supporting of validation activities and acting and reporting on critical equipment failures.
- Ensure robust maintenance programmes are in place to prevent equipment problems, ensure critical equipment is appropriately maintained and there are robust equipment life cycle programmes in place.
- Ensure robust stock management system is maintained to prevent delays to equipment maintenance tasks
We are looking for a real people leader, someone who champions team performance and instils a culture of continuous improvement. This role will be hands off and concentrate on the team leadership, strategy and site budgets (circa 1.5million-2million per year).
Role overview:
- Engineering Manager (Maintenance/Manufacturing)
- Starting salary of £55,000 - £65,000 depending on experience
- Onsite 5days per week
- Performance-based bonus between 10%-20%
