Intapeople are on the search for an Mechanical Technician for a globally known electronics company who are looking to expand their South Wales branch.
It would be your responsibility to make sure that test and assembly processes go well every day. You will also be able to implement and manage process changes and become a part of a team that operates quickly and effectively to maintain the efficiency of all of our manufacturing lines. p
As the ideal candidate, you will possess high mechanical technical skills, including the capacity to read and comprehend mechanical engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities
- Complete all necessary maintenance procedures.
- Confident in their ability to diagnose and fix problems with a variety of production/process equipment.
- Evaluation of test results.
- Control over and application of significant process modifications.
- Implementation of innovative ideas that are successful.
- Engage and input during Design for Manufacture evaluations.
Essential Criteria
- Mechanical engineering or a mechanical technical discipline at the HNC level or higher (or time served with experience).
- Able to communicate effectively across all levels of the business.
- Be capable to make judgments on engineering and technology change that will increase quality and efficiency for the business.
Desired Criteria
- Experience in the tool room, including the operations of hand tools, pillar drills, millers, and lathes.
- Have an awareness of fundamental electrical engineering.
Must be able to work shifts, an example pattern is: Week 1 - 05.45 to 14:00; Week 2 - 13:45 to 22:00; Week 3 - 21:45 to 06:00
