If you enjoy turning early ideas into real products and want genuine ownership from concept to launch, this role offers a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up.
You’ll join a global, multi‑disciplinary engineering team working on a brand‑new product at a very early stage. With no fixed design or established processes, you’ll help define the product, shape the system, and turn an initial concept into a scalable solution that reaches customers.
This is a systems‑focused role rather than a narrow electronics position. While strong electrical expertise is essential, you’ll work across architecture, controls, integration, and testing, with a particular focus on control systems that power and coordinate complex electrical subsystems.
You’ll be one of the first hires in a growing UK team, collaborating closely with an established overseas group. This includes regular cross‑time‑zone working (with occasional out‑of‑hours calls) and initial travel of around 15%, particularly to the US, which will reduce over time.
Success in this role comes from curiosity, creativity, and sound engineering judgement rather than predefined procedures. You’ll help establish ways of working as both the product and team evolve.
Experience/Skills:
- Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (or similar)
- Experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting electronic systems
- Comfortable with lab equipment and PCB design review
- Curious, analytical, and confident working across disciplines
- Clear communicator with a collaborative mindset
What’s on offer:
Competitive benefits including generous holiday allowance, pension, bonus and share schemes, life assurance, and more.
