IntaPeople is working in partnership with a large manufacturing company who have a world-wide presence and require several Electrical Engineers to join the team. We are looking for someone who has experience in performing both preventative and reactive maintenance in similar environments. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer to be challenged daily due to the industrial size of the operation whilst also gaining impressive skills on site. Our client has recently invested heavily in their work processes to make them 'green' and are currently leading the way within their industry. 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Have strong knowledge of PLC’s and programming techniques for both process control development and front-line maintenance
  • Respond to emergencies and other operating problems to minimise disruptions to manufacturing processes
  • Repair, adjust, and maintain production equipment, machinery, or instruments to ensure that it functions reliably and complies with process specifications
  • Use Data logging equipment to establish the origin of failure on intermittent faults and for process control improvements
  • Work in a safe manner and have a proactive approach to all safety issues whilst working along side the Health & Safety Manager 
  • Train workers in the organisation's operating procedures and standards
  • Monitor and review implementation of global health and safety standards to ensure compliance, and risk free production globally
  •  Provide guidance and supervision for new entrants

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Fully Completed Electrical Apprenticeship with Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering
  • PLC’s, AC/DC Speed control systems
  • Schematic diagrams
  • Sound knowledge of manufacturing health and safety practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Have an organized and proactive approach to work, with the ability to solve problems and meet challenging deadlines
  • A proactive approach to making improvements
  • Experience of working in multi-discipline team
  • HV experience would be desirable, but not essential as training would be given
