We are supporting a technical consultancy that is seeking two Freelance C++ Software Engineers to support ongoing projects for a customer in the semiconductor equipment sector. These roles involve contributing to complex software used in production machinery.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
There are two roles across the projects:
- Refactoring: Restructuring existing computer code to improve internal structure without changing external behaviour
- Feature Development: Implementing feature requests from the end customer
- All work is connected to equipment development for semiconductor production machines
- The team environment is described as chaotic, and the consultancy is looking for individuals who can help bring structure and stability
To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with C++
- Experience in the semiconductor industry
- Ability to understand and work on complex software systems
- English language skills suitable for professional communication
