Looking for a Cloud Engineer role where you can have a real impact and be involved in choosing which tools are used? We’re helping our client in Horsham find an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer with excellent stakeholder management skills on a remote basis with visits to the office once every 2-4 weeks.

The company

  • The client is a household name and have been a leader in the industry for almost 3 decades, which means they can offer job security and an impressive list of benefits including a 11% pension, annual bonus, private medical and 25 days annual leave (plus 8 BH) to name a few.

  • They have launched a Cloud Centre of Excellence, so you’ll be joining a brand-new team. You will be an integral part of the team with the opportunity to help influence which tools and frameworks they implement.

  • The head office is in Horsham and there is another office in London.  The role is mainly remote, with visits to either of these offices once or twice per month.

The role

  • Day to day, the role will consist of 90% cloud engineering and 10% ETL, Big data and software development.

  • This is split 50/50 between hands on and consultancy duties; this includes stakeholder management and assisting other areas of the team such as DevOps and Architecture on design and implementation of process.

  • You will be responsible for establishing cloud environments for Azure and managing groups and policies with a high level of Azure subscriptions.

Experience

  • We are looking for an established Cloud Engineer with 4-5 years’ hands on experience of working with Azure and Azure Services.

  • Ideally, you will have worked on migration projects from on-premise to the cloud as well as running IaaS or PaaS in Azure with Windows Servers and SQL servers.

  • Although ETL, Big Data and Software development experience is beneficial; this only makes up a small portion of the role so it is not essential.

  • This person will need to hit the road running so if your only experience in Azure is with Azure Active Directory, this will not be the right role for you. However, if you consider yourself to be an SME in Azure with a background in stakeholder management; we would love to hear from you.
