Are you a Junior Cloud Engineer Looking for an AWS Cloud Specialist role where you can work your way up to a Cloud Engineer? We’re helping our client in Horsham build a team who will lead the cloud migration projects for the whole company.

 

About you…

  • As cloud is relatively new to the team, you will provide support to the Cloud Engineers as they migrate from on premise to AWS.
  • This role has the scope to a Cloud Engineer so you will be ambitious with a passion for learning. 
  • You will be able to solve unique and first-order problems in massive-scale areas such as compute services EC2, VPC, Glacier, S3, Load Balancers, Availability Zones and so forth. Experience in deploying/provisioning services as per design and including the use of policies and Control Tower and many other AWS Services.
  • You will use your knowledge and experience of cloud native AWS services and frameworks whilst being experienced with Hybrid Cloud networking such as Direct Connect, VPN, IDAM, ACL’s.

  • They have launched a Cloud Centre of Excellence, so you’ll be joining a brand-new team. You will be an integral part of the team with the opportunity to help influence which tools and frameworks they implement.
  • The head office is in Horsham and there is another office in London.  The role is mainly remote, with visits to either of these offices once or twice per month.

About the role

  • This role is mainly remote with visits to their Horsham or London offices once per quarter.
  • The day to day will involve troubleshooting AWS, best practices, guardrails, AWS Management Console and IAM console
  • You will provide engineering support to AWS IaaS, PaaS and all workloads in the company's infrastructure to meet support capabilities.
  • There will also a focus on automation of infrastructure, configuration, and code Acts to provide documentation of architecture, procedures, outages, and incidents Effectively understands and can communicate risks, objectives, and trade-offs to the project.
