A leading consultancy partner is looking to onboard an experienced Automation Tester to step into a key role on a major strategic programme within a complex financial services environment. This is a long‑term engagement where you’ll take ownership of automation testing as the project enters a critical delivery phase. The project is focused on building a platform that will allow the bank’s customers to execute their stock market operations online, developed in Spring Boot with a strong emphasis on maximising test automation.
You’ll be responsible for designing, maintaining, and executing automated test suites across a Java‑based API landscape. The project is entering its main testing phase, so the successful consultant must be able to integrate quickly, communicate clearly with technical and business stakeholders, and operate confidently in a structured enterprise environment.
Key Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in automation testing
- Strong experience with API testing (Swagger, Postman, IntelliJ)
- Technical stack includes Java API, Cucumber, Octane (HP ALM knowledge also valuable)
- Clear, proactive communication skills
- Background in banking or other complex, regulated environments is highly advantageous
- Commitment to a long‑term engagement (the customer expects a “moral” commitment of at least 18 months)
- English required; along with French or Dutch is a strong plus
Contract Details
- Initial contract runs until 31/12/2026, with a very high likelihood of extension
- Location: Belgium (hybrid on‑site expectations) — 50% onsite presence required, and any remote work must be performed from within Belgium only
