I am delighted to bring to market this brand-new role working with a renowned manufacturer who supply products to some of the world’s leading automotive brands. Due to growth across the business, they currently require an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant who will be based at the Abergavenny site.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Financial Controller and will be required to manage the purchase ledger process and assist some General Ledger processing. You will need to be comfortable with talking to suppliers over the phone to overcome queries relating to invoices.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Invoice processing. 3-way matching invoices and manual entry invoices.
- Query handling, debit note processing & liaising with suppliers.
- Processing payments and posting AP transactions on the bank.
- Statement Reconciliations.
- Intercompany reconciliations.
- Intra stat and VAT return.
- Month End Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
- Prepayment Journals.
- Month End AP Accrual Journals.
- GRNI House Keeping.
- Assistance with Site Stock Takes.
- Assist with Internal and External Audit requirements.
- Basic General Ledger Enquiries.
- Ad hoc sub ledger support.

- Previous experience working with accounting sub ledgers
- AAT qualified is desirable
